The property is situated down a private drive off the A591 road, 1.5 miles from Windermere, 3 miles from Ambleside and 18 miles from J36 of the M6.   With our wonderful location and supportive environment, Calgarth is very popular. We believe Calgarth offers excellent value for money and over 50% of our residents have lived here more than ten years. 

What a great Heritage Open Day we had on Sunday 10 September. Over 80 people from all over the north of England came to visit us and enjoyed seeing our lovely house.  The talks/tours were very popular but we had to stay within the building due to the horizontal rain and strong winds.  Lots of people commented on how interesting they found the costume and photographic displays and most people enjoyed a visit to the tearoom.  Thank you all for coming.  We loved having you here.
